Brickslips for Design

H&E Smith are proud of the range of applications architects and specifiers have put our brickslips to in their creative interior and exterior projects. Our site features a number of examples of our glazed brickslips.

We manufacture our own brick slips in our “Eco Glazed Brick Slips” range from recycled Welsh slate dust. This slate dust is then fired to create a 215 x 65 x 15mm brick slip. The brickslip is then glazed and then re-fired. This process produces a very durable and attractive product for use for both external and internal projects.

These design accents can be employed to create a dramatic and hard wearing design statement, suitable for a wide variety of settings. They  are an increasingly popular choice for many clients as the wall covering of choice in bespoke interior design projects.

Glazed brick slips are a superb choice for creating distinctive feature walls, and are regularly used for both internal and external cladding. It is worth noting that and can be used as a hard wearing and attractive alternative to the frequently used salt glazed bricks to still be seen used on many period properties.

H&E Smith Brick Slips have a number of attractive features which are worth considering when choosing the best materials for brick slip installation.  Our brick slips are manufactured in the UK and feature a beautiful glazed gloss finish. To meet the varying requirements of the designers and architects we frequently work with, we manufacture our tiles in a range of traditional as well as more modern colour options, including our popular white brick tiles.

Brickslips – Available Colours

We have 18 Standard colours are available. Our colour options include Snow, White Mist, Winter Morning, Off White Crackle, Magnolia, Ochre, Mustard, Weathered Bronze, Cut Grass, Jade, Victorian Green, Denim, Royal Blue, Rich Burgundy, Midnight, Victorian Brown, Treacle and Black. Our brick slips are highly stain resistant, as well as being colourfast and weatherproof.

Please note that we can produce these products to your specific requirements. In addition, we have that ability to manufacture in any colour from the RAL selector if required. Whilst matt and opaque glazes are also possible these options are not are not available in all colours. Please contact our sales office for details.
